What a long weekend adventure in Palawan with the team!
Originally I had no plans to join the trip until my 23rd birthday. Anyway I reserved a 550Php Manila-Palawan v.v. ticket during CEB sale last February to stop my team mates from teasing me from “the breakup”. Turns out it was a blessing.
The trip was a cost-efficient and full of adventure. Coron Village Hotel accommodation was very good. The food was great. The scenes were breath taking. The people we met were amazing. Marlon cooked the best “Sinigang”. Lost and retrieved my PSP.
Being with the team in Coron will be one of my favorite travel memories.

Day 4 – photo and videos to follow
Quezon City to NAIA 3
FX to SM north – 20 Php
MRT North to MRT Taft – 15 Php
Taft Taxi to NAIA 3 – 20 Php (x3)
Woke up at 08:00 with a call from Jane who is still in TWS. It appears they will miss their 09:15 flight.
Immediately had my ham and egg breakfast and prepared for my 13:20 flight.
I went to SM North first to look for Mosquito repellant lotion specifically requested by Richelle. Also got new snorkeling gear seeing a sports shop near a Watson’s shop.
It’s best to use Trinoma as bridge to MRT north station. I then took MRT trip from North Avenue to Taft Avenue, a rail-end tour.
I met Ryan and Arun in MRT Taft. We took a shared cab to NAIA 3.
NAIA 3 to Busuanga Airport
NAIA 3 boarding fee – 200 Php
Manila – Coron Ticket – 275 Php
Ryan, Arun and me checked in the airport 2 hours ahead of our flight.
Team Richelle’s Marlon, Jane and Richelle missed their morning flight and will be taking the same flight as ours.
In the body weight counter after check-in, I was up close with one of my music idol Bamboo!
We met up with Team Richelle in the waiting area.
Here we go.
The view of Coron islands from above is amazing.
The flight took an hour. I saw my hometown featured in SMILE, the CEB magazine.
We arrived 2:30 in the afternoon and enjoyed some conversation and photo shoots in the airport before traveling to Coron Town. One photo highlight was the Philippine-Korean monument in the Busuanga Airport grounds.
I left my PSP inside the plane which I discovered “lost” later in the evening. Tears!
Busuanga Airport to Coron Town
Airport to Coron VAN Flat rate – 150 Php
4 days/ 3 nights in Coron Village Lodge – 1500 Php (each)
The trip to Coron from Busuanga airport took 45 minutes. The tour which passes the mountains; tress and rice fields was a good sight seeing. The road trip was a bit shaky with rural roadways. Roads are still fairly developed from Busuanga airport to Coron.
We arrived in Coron Village Lodge and took some photo ops. We settled in the hotel and prepared for lunch.
Discovering Coron Town
Only food expense
We were hungry after settling in our hotel so the team went to “Leon’s”, a semi-urban oriented wooden hotel and restaurant just a block away from our hotel. It cooks good food and provides a great environment for dining.
After eating our lunch, some of us decided to maximize our accommodation by cooking dinner. Richelle, Marlon, Jane and Arun went to the market and grocery stores.
Ryan and I went around Coron town to discover the landmarks. We carried the goods back to the hotel.
From our walk we discovered Coron Coliseum, Park and City hall.
We went back to the hotel and help each other prepare dinner. Some of us were even working!
In the evening, we enjoyed playing cards, Mario cart, “Girl talk”, and mostly talk about anything.
After most of us were already exhausted and asleep, Arun and I watched “Too beautiful to lie”. It turns out Arun was a Korean melodrama fan too.
Sleep.
