I love Panglao. Two weeks have passed since my Bohol trip and it still makes me smile thinking about the fine white sand, clear water, serene atmosphere, blue sky, plain beaches, starfishes, corals and the people I met in the vacation.

Figured I might as well log the follow up for the record.

Panglao Island

From the previous log we stayed in Dumaluan Beach resort with my Titas and Ate Loida.

Tita Pearl, Inday and Malou from Canada are one of those OFWs that love the noontime show “Wowowee”. They bought a magic sing to get a custom jacket.

Jologs time! WOWOWEE! (Disclaimer: Not a Willie fan)

The senior citizens a.k.a. Pearl, Inday and Malou (rock on Titas!), were very much eager to take an early exercise. We had a walk long the shore of eastern Panglao covering Bohol Beach Club and Dumaluan beach resort while waiting for the sun to rise.

The shore is not very clean in early morning due to weeds. Nonetheless, resort owners operate a regular shore weed clearing crew to make the beach pleasing.

Then we had dinner in Dumaluan Restaurant. A regular meal will cost 70 Php. Brewed coffee at 45 Php.

My cousins Chris, Janice and Loida got a dip on the cool waters of Panglao.

It was the best beaches to dip on in the morning.

P.S. > Dear Ate Janice, if you read this blog, please post the awesome pictures from your camera! :)

Tagbilaran Pier
VAN – 500
35 minutes away

Regular cost of Panglao transports to Tagbilaran airport would regularly cost 500 Php one way.

It was almost noon when we left the resort to Tagbilaran Pier. The rest of the gang went back to Cebu by ship to attend the annual Sinulog festival. I had a scheduled flight at 14:00 SGT from Tagbilaran Airport to NAIA3 Manila.

We had grilled pork for lunch at a local restaurant. I went along with my Titas, Titos and cousins to bid goodbye at the pier.

Island City Mall
Tricycle – 7Php
Sherlock Holmes – 90 Php
10 minutes away

It was still very early for my flight so I decided to hang out in the local mall ICM. I wanted to explore the biggest mall in Tagbilaran. I took a tricycle to the famous Island City Mall.

I was bored after covering most of the mall areas so I just went to the cinema to watch Sherlock Holmes. The movie is quite cheap around 90Php for balcony and 70 for regular. The cinema is small but the seats are very comfortable like that of Trinoma Mall cinemas.

FREE WIFI in the mall so I got to download virtual copy of my plane ticket as photo to my iPhone. No more paper prints. :)

Tagbilaran Airport
Tricycle special – 20 Php

Tagbilaran Airport is a small airport. It has only enough space to accommodate a number of people inside the terminal. This was inconvenient for most passengers because passengers had to wait OUTSIDE the terminal until the waiting pool inside are cleared.

I wish they could build a bigger airport.

At the terminal we were amazed by a local blind band. They sing classical songs and play guitar to get funds for their organization. One plays his guitar like a piano. Coolness!

WINDOW SEAT! Awesome! This flight is also remarkable as I got to know new friends, Mrs. Jarmila Abad and her baby girl, Alexa.

A very fluent girl caught my attention. She was telling stories about cartoon characters and other stuff with this cool accent. Alexa often talks to the kid beside her in the other isle and keeps on making “kulit” with her mom who was sitting beside me.

I praised her mom for having such a very pretty and lively daughter. Found out they are also coming back from a family trip in Panglao as well.

I love talking to kids! :)

Our flight arrived 10 minutes early. I boarded off and said my goodbyes to my new friends.

I had to work until late at night to make up for my 4 day vacation. It was a tiring day.

It was worth it.

Till next time.
