These are listed to be a few of my most favorite places in Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan. It is not very crowded, the place is very relaxing the food in the restaurant offers great treats.

A good thing about road trips is that you will be able to discover places such as these. Enjoy your visit in Palawan.

Kim’s Hot Spring and Restaurant

Kim’s hot spring resort and restaurant is located 400 meters away from the Honda Bay port intersection in the Puerto Prinsesa national highway.

The resort is managed by Mr and Mrs. Kim, a Korean couple who fell in love with Puerto Prinsesa at 2004. They decided to buy a lot, stay and put up their Korean inspired hot spring along the highway.

You can reach this by tricycle from the Honda Bay Port for 15 Php per person. I suggest you stay here overnight. It is very peaceful and the ambiance is good for relaxation.

There are two hot spring resorts in near Honda bay. Lourdes Hot Spring offers people public hot spring pools for entrance of 40Php. They do not have overnight accommodation.

Kim’s Resort has medium sized shacks with a hot spring inside! They have private hot spring pool for groups covered with bamboo walls and Nipa roof such that you can see in movies. They have a giant pool under construction for bigger groups too.

How to get here:
Situation 1 – from Honda Bay Port, ride a tricycle to this place for 15 Php each. This is 1.2 km away.

Vietnamese Village

I’m not very good at introductions so I’ll just describe this as a village of friendly Vietnamese people. :) They have a catholic church and a Buddhist temple in the village.

The village is a symbol of eternal friendship between Filipinos and Vietnamese. This serves as the pride of freedom loving Vietnamese who are determined to work for a better future through honest toil and sweat.

Before entering the village you will see the Vietnamese restaurant.

How to get here:
Situation 1 – from Puerto Prinsesa, ride a tricycle to this place for 70 Php. This is 12km away.
Situation 2 – from Honda Bay Port, ride a tricycle to this place for 15 Php each. This is 2 km away.

Vietnamese Restaurant

The Vietnamese restaurant is the restaurant that is located before entering the Vietnamese village along the Puerto Prinsesa Northern highway.

It is managed by the few remaining Vietnamese families and they have an imported cook name “Manang” from Saigon.

They have a small stage where performances are held regularly. By default expect Vietnamese songs playing in the background.

Food trip! :)

“Pho Bo Kho” is means love. I’m kidding it means “Beef stew noodles”. The best stew noodles I’ve tasted and the spiciest. Get his for 105Php.

The Vietnamese halo2x is also a must try. This is the only Halo2x I know that has TOMATOE JAM as an ingredient. You can try this sweet treat at 65Php.

They also have this “sapin2x” or “kakanin” from Pandan and mongo. I forgot the name so I’ll name it the green thingy which cost 15 Php. So sweet and the taste is very delicious.

This is where I got to know a unique Vietnamese flower called the “Twin lovers”. It is a unique flower with definite 2 blooms in a single stem. Coolness!

Also tried their Vietnamese fried rice and its very delicious and heavy to the stomach.
